Derivatives and Structured Finance
We cover all aspects of financial transactions, from lending, project finance, structured finance, cash and synthetic securitisation, to international debt and equity issues, securities and investment services regulation, asset management, and financial litigation. The Derivatives and Structured Finance group provides a multi-jurisdictional service to the Firm's institutional clients.
We assess legal, commercial and other reputational risks in our approach, avoiding court proceedings whenever possible and seeking alternative dispute resolutions. When litigation is unavoidable, we team up with the Firm's best litigators. Our international affiliations and global resources in international jurisdictions allow us to leverage our technical excellence and other expertise in derivatives practices.
The Derivatives and Structured Finance team draws on tax and other resources within the Firm to deal with the complex issues related to Derivatives transactions.
We have also provided opinions to many associations and market participants with respect to the enforceability of rights under various forms of master agreements used in the derivatives, securities lending and repo areas.
