Colombo District Judge Sujeewa Nissanka yesterday issued an enjoining order, restraining the members of the. All Ceylon Telecommunication Employees Union from engaging in strike action on the basis. that they should be absorbed into employment. in Sri Lanka Telecom Plc.
The enjoining order is valid till February 3, 2017. The petitioner sought a declaration from the court that by ceasing work, the strikers have repudiated their employment contract with the plaintiff SLT Human capital solutions Pvt Limited.
The plaintiff said the strikes are his employees they are well look after. They need not attempt to join the Sri Lanka Telecom Plc. Nigel Hatch President's Counsel appeared with Manoj Lakshman Perera and Gamini Balasuriya, instructed by Sudath Perera Associates.
